I’m glad to see you here, I’m Katie!

How it all began

Photography has always been my thing, but started to really see the value in it after having my first baby back in 2018. Like a lot of new mums, I suddenly became very aware of just how quickly everything changes. Babies grow, toddlers stop doing the funny little things you thought they’d do forever, and somehow another year disappears before you’ve really noticed.

I look back at the photos of my little ones  now and they bring so much of it back. Not just what they looked like, but what each stage actually felt like. Being able to give other families that same thing is a huge part of why I love what I do.

What you can expect from me

The most frequent feedback I get after photoshoots is how easy I made the whole experience feel. Family photos can be a bit daunting, but I like to think I have a knack for putting people at ease pretty quickly. Anyone who knows me will tell you I love a yarn, and I love meeting new people, so making that connection tends to come naturally.

I’m a big kid at heart, so the chaos, the silliness, the big personalities and all that sparkly magic kids bring is very much my happy place. And I’m absolutely not above making myself look like a total idiot if it makes your kids laugh.

Okay, enough about photography...

I'm a mum to three gorgeous and chaotic little humans (and one terribly behaved Spaniel).

My husband and I are originally from the UK. We moved over here as teenagers and have ended up with accents that don’t really fit in anywhere.

I’ve become mildly obsessed with gardening in recent years (hello, 30s) and love anything floral, very partial to a dahlia. If you want flowers involved in your session, I will be so keen!

We’re a very neurodiverse family, and most of my favourite people are a little bit spicy. Neurodivergent kids are always welcome to show up to my sessions exactly as they are.

I love a good podcast, an unnecessarily long voice note, and pottering around op shops when I should probably be doing something more productive.

lovely words from my clients

We had a family photo session with Katie and the service she provided was outstanding. Her communication skills from the start were very greatly appreciated. At the photoshoot it was like catching up with a friend, so easy to get a long with and amazing with our kids. We felt so comfortable and has so much fun. So happy with the selection of photos we got, she captured our family so beautifully. Highly recommend!

We had our very first family photo shoot with Katie and can say without a doubt that she’s the best there is. Katie was so welcoming right from the start and all her info packs and contracts were super clear and easy to follow. On the day of the shoot she put us all at ease right from the get go and the outcome of this can be seen in amazing photos she’s taken.
